titleOfInvention | Method for analyzing l-glutamic acid |
abstract | PURPOSE: To analyze accurately and simply L-glutamic acid, by using L-glutamic acid oxidase substantially unreactive with L-glutamic acid. n CONSTITUTION: Glutaminase is reacted with L-glutamic acid in an analytical sample to liberate the L-glutamic acid. L-glutamic acid oxidase having a very high substrate specificity for the L-glutamic acid without substantially reacting with the L-glutamic acid is reacted with the sample. The amount of oxygen consumed or amount of hydrogen peroxide, ammonia or α-ketoglutaric acid formed with the progress of the reaction is detected. An enzyme obtained from a culture of Streptomyces sp. X-119-6 (FERM-P No. 6560, ATCC39343) is used as the L-glutamic acid oxidase. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
