titleOfInvention | Electrophotographic sensitive body |
abstract | PURPOSE:To improve a surface cleaning characteristic and the resistance to toner filming and wear by providing a surface layer contg. an org. solvent dispersion type silica sol. CONSTITUTION:An org. solvent dispersion type silica sol is incorporated into a surface layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body 11. The above-mentioned surface layer may be a protective layer 14 for a photoconductive layer 15. Said silica sol can be formed by subjecting the surface of colloidal silica to a hydrophobic treatment and dispersing colloidally the same into an org. solvent or dispersing transparently the silica in the form of primary particles in the colloid dimension. Various org. solvents, for example, methanol and ethanol are usable as the dispersant for the above-mentioned silica sol and a surface coating liquid is prepd. by dissolving a suitable binder resin in such org. solvent then adding silica sol thereto. |
