abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer having a wide distribution of molecular weight in high yield, by using a catalyst consisting of a catalyst component prepared by bringing a magnesium compound into contact with an electron donor, an organoaluminum compound and a vanadium compound, a catalyst component of an organoaluminum compound and a halogen compound component. n CONSTITUTION: An olefin is polymerized or copolymerized with another olefin in the presence of a catalyst formed from (A) a vanadium catalyst component formed by bringing a magnesium compound, e.g. magnesium chloride, into contact with an electron donor, e.g. 2-ethylhexyl alcohol, an organoaluminum compound, e.g. triethylaluminum, and a vanadium compound, e.g. vanadyl trichloride, (B) a catalyst component of an organoaluminum compound, e.g. ethylaluminum dichloride, and (C) a halogen compound, e.g. trichloromethane. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
