titleOfInvention Extract of fomes japonicus, its preparation, and health food containing said extract as active component
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the extract of MANNENTAKE (Fomes japonicus, a kind of fungi) composed of the solvent extract of the mycelia of MANNENTAKE cultured in a specific medium or of the concentrate of the culture liquid after the separation of the mycelia, positive to ninhydrin reaction and Fehling reaction, etc., and containing the component resembling closely to the natural fruiting body of MANNENTAKE. n CONSTITUTION: The seed mycelia of MANNENTAKE is cultured in a liquid medium containing 0.2W10W/V% glucose and 0.2W2W/V% wheat embryo. The cultivation is carried out by inoculating about 5W10mg of the mycelia to 100ml of the liquid medium, and stirring the medium at 200W300rpm and 25W30°C under aeration of 0.5W 3.0V.V.m. in a dark place for 7W21 days. After cultivation, the cultured product or the mycelia separated from the cultured product is extracted with a solvent, or the cultured liquid left after the separation of the mycelia therefrom is concentrated to obtain the objective extract of MANNENTAKE. The extract is relatively stable at about ≤60°C, contains the components having close resemblance to the natural fruiting body of MANNENTAKE, and exhibits excellent effect such as nutrient, tonic, brain refreshing, anti-inflammatory, diuretic effects, etc. as a health food. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
