titleOfInvention Binder for magnetic tape
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled binder which has a high curing rate and gives a coating film having a smoothe surface, consisting of a specified unsaturated polyester resin and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. n CONSTITUTION: An acid componebt (a) contg. 40W100mol% of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid is reacted with a glycol component (b) contg. 0.05W10mol% of a polyhydric alcohol contg. a sulfonate salt group obtd. by adding a bisulfite to an unsaturated polyhydric alcohol and optionally 0.02W40mol% of a polyhydric alcohol allyl ester. An acrylic monomer (c) and optionally an isocyanate compd. (d) are then added thereto. The mixture is reacted to obtain an unsaturated polyester resin (A) wherein the acrylic monomer is bonded at its terminal. 80W 30wt% of component A is mixed with 20W70wt% ethylenically unsaturated monomer (B) such as trimethylolpropane triacrylate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
