abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a handle being excellent in impact resistance and provided with screw holes, with high operability, by a method wherein an iron core material provided with the screw holes for fitting bored in the ends is disposed in a U-shaped space formed by male and female dies, and expandable synthetic resin is injected into the space thereafter. n CONSTITUTION: A U-shaped space 3 is formed by a male die 1 and a female die 2, and a U-shaped core material 4 of iron provided with screw holes 5 for fitting made in the ends is disposed in the U-shaped space 3 so that the end surfaces thereof are positioned on the end surfaces of said space 3, and is fitted to the male die 1 by screws 6. Next, expandable synthetic resin is injected into the U- shaped space 3 formed by the male die 1 fitted with the core material 4 by screws and the female die 2, so as to obtain an object U-shaped handle 10 in which the core material 4 is embedded in such a manner that the screw holes 5 for fitting are exposed in the end surfaces. Since the core material 4 of iron is embedded in it, the handle 10 thus obtained is highly resistive to impact, and it is unnecessary to use fang nut, since the screw holes 5 for fitting are provided. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
