abstract |
PURPOSE: To proveide the titled film of high availability for magnetic applications because of high level of surfacial flatness thermally fixed and biaxially oriented by formulating a special quantity of derivative of sulfonic acid salt and higher fatty acid salt with polyester containing ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent. n CONSTITUTION: Manganese acetate, antimony trioxide and trimethyl phosphate are used as ester exchange reaction catalyst, polymerization catalyst and thermal stabilizer respectively. Polyethylene terephthalate is polymerized according to an ordinary method and in the latter half process of polycondensation reaction, a derivative of sulfonic acid salt (A) and higher fatty acid salt (B) are added. Next, this polymer is melted and extruded into thin film through a die slit and the film is cooled as unelongated film. After this process, the film is elongated, thus obtaining a film intended for manufacture based on a formulation of 0.1W10pts.wt. of constituent A and constituent B 0.1W2 times as heavy as A using an ethylene terephthalate unit as a main repeated unit. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
