abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost paint having excellent adhesivity to steel structure, etc. and weather resistance, and free from the problem of efflorescence, by mixing silas powder, cement and an aqueous emulsion of an organic polymer compound in a slurry state. n CONSTITUTION: The objective paint is produced e.g. by mixing (A) acid-treated silas powder (a kind of volcanic ash), (B) cement (e.g. Portland cement, alumina cement, etc.) and (C) an aqueous emulsion of an organic polymer compound (e.g. vinyl acetate polymer, acrylic ester polymer, etc.) in a slurry state, and if necessary, adding (D) a pigment to the slurry. n EFFECT: Effective utilization of silas which at times cause diaster. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
