titleOfInvention Aromatic polyester
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost aromatic polyester of low water and moisture absorptivity, having each specific structural unit and reduced viscosity, with excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength, high heat resistance and pyrolysis-starting temperature, good electrical properties and dimensional stability. n CONSTITUTION: The objective polyester can be obtained, preferably, by the interfacial polycondensation from difunctional aromatic carboxylic acid dihydride and an alkaline aqueous solution of diphenol of formula I . This polyester is constituted by structural unit of formula II (Ar is residue resulted by eliminating the carboxyl group contained in said difunctional aromatic carboxylic acid), having a reduced viscosity ηsp/c ≥0.1dl/g (pref. ≥0.3dl/g) determined at 30°C under a concentration 1.0g/dl in a 1:1 phenol-tetrachloroethane solution by weight. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
