titleOfInvention Preparation of l-alpha-amino acid
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing drugs, food additives, etc., by treating a D-L-α-amino acid amide with a culture solution of a bacterium having L-α-amino acid amide hydrolysis activity, a live mold of it or a treated material of the mold. n CONSTITUTION: A D-L-α-amino acid amide shown by the formula I (R 1 and R 2 are H, lower alkyl, phenyl, OH, carboxyl, mercapto, etc.) is treated with a culture solution of a bacterium belonging to the genus Phodospirillum, Rhodopseudomonas, Spirillum, Microcyclus, Pseudomonas, Gluconobacter, Agromobacter, etc., having L-α-amino acid amide hydrolysis activity, a live mold of it, or a treated material of the mold, to give the desired substance. The bacterium is cultivated in a medium containing a C source, N source, inorganic salt, nutrition, etc. preferably by adding D-L-α-amino acid amide at 4W10pH at 20W50°C for 1 dayW1 week aerobically. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
