abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive compsn. hardly remaining on nonimage areas after development and suitable for use in a lithographic plate, etc. by incorporating a specified oxazole compd. and a compd. causing interreaction with the photo-decomposed product of said compd. CONSTITUTION:An intended photosensitive compsn. is obtained by incorporating (A) an oxazole compd., such as ones of formulae II and III, represented by general formula I in which X is H, alkyl, or aryl; Y is F, Cl, or Br; n is 1-3; m is 1 or 2; and l is 0 or 1: and (B) a compd. causing interreaction with the photo-decomposed product of said compd. (A). Said component (B) is exemplified by an additionally polymerizable ethylenically unsatd. monomer, and a compd., such as diphenylamine, colorable, decolorable, or discolorable with an acid. The compd. of formula II typical of the component (A) can be easily synthesized with the starting materials of p-methoxycinnamic acid and p-nitrophenol.
