| abstract | PURPOSE: To produce the titled composition having excellent electrical characteristics, shrinkage and heat-resistance, etc., by compounding a specific amount of p-methylstyrene to a resin derived from methyldicyclopentadienyl α,β-unsaturated dibasic acid monoester and a diglycidyl ether compound. n CONSTITUTION: The objective resin composition is produced by compounding (A) 95W45(wt)% resin obtained by reacting (i) a methyldicyclopentadienyl α,β-unsaturated dibasic acid monoester prepared by the reaction of methyldicyclopentadiene of formula with preferably equimolar amount of an α,β-unsaturated dibasic acid or its anhydride (e.g. maleic anhydride) with (ii) a diglycidyl ether compound at a molar ratio of e.g. 1:0.5 and (B) 5W55% p-methylstyrene. n EFFECT: The composition has excellent properties comparable to epoxy resin, and is curable easily in air. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
