abstract PURPOSE: To provide a composition containing CoQ 10 , capable of preventing the filling troubles in tableting, e.g. sticking of the tablet, and useful as a coronary function improving agent, by coating the surface of a granule containing CoQ 10 with a specific amount of a film-forming substance, and using the coated granules as main component. n CONSTITUTION: A CoQ 10 -containing composition is prepared by coating granules containing CoQ 10 (ubidecarenone) with a film-forming substance (e.g. gum arabic, gelatin, PVP, etc.), and using the coated granule as the main component. The necessary amount of the film-forming substance is ≥0.005pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the CoQ 10 -containing granule. The coating of the granule can be carried out by conventional coating method. The composition of the present invention is effective to facilitate the preparation of a composition having high CoQ 10 content, e.g. CoQ 10 capsule or tablet. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
