titleOfInvention Benzoylpropionic acid derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R 1 represents H, lower alkyl or benzyl; R 2 represents lower alkyl or phenyl; X represents H, halogen atom, lower alkyl, phenoxyl or halogenophenoxyl; Y represents H or lower alkyl). n EXAMPLE: 2-Acetylthiomethyl-3-benzoylpropionic acid. n USE: Useful as a remedy for a disease caused by deficiency in an immunological function such as rheumarthritis, autoimmune disease, cancer, asthma, etc., having an excellent immunoregulating function with low side effects and low toxicity. n PREPARATION: A carboxylic acid compound expressed by formula II is dissolved in an organic solvent such as methanol, added with 1W2 equivalents carbothiolic acid expressed by the formula R 2 COSH, and reacted at -20W50°C for 0.5W24hr in the presence of 0.01W0.1 equivalent basic catalyst to obtain the compound expressed by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
