CONSTITUTION:A granular toner for electrophotography can be obtained by polymerizing one or more kinds of monomers, preferably, a vinyl monomer, such as styrene or its derivs. in the presence of a pigment, such as titanium oxide or silica, a water-soluble protein suspending agent, such as geltain, glue, or albumin, and a polymn. initiator, such as alpha,alpha'-azobisisobutyronitrile, adding a proteolytic enzyme, such as trypsin, chymosin, or pepsin, to a slurry after polymn., treating the polymer grains at a pH of 4-12 and at 20-80 deg.C, and dehydrating and drying the polymer grains contg. the pigment. |
