abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled preventive and remedy containing methyl-3-(2- quinoxalinylmethylene)carbazate-N,N-dioxide, having excellent preventive and remedying effect to the bacterial infectious diseases of fish in especially pisciculture, andhaving low toxicity to fish. n CONSTITUTION: The carbadox of formula known as a remedy for the dysentery of young pig is used as a preventive and remedy fo the diseases of aquatic animals such as fish. The above compound has excellent remedying effect to a wide variaty of bacterial infectious diseases of fish such as vibriosis of young yellowtail and amberjac, saprolegniasis of eel, vibriosis nd furunculosis of trout, etc. and can be used safely because of its extremely low toxidity.
