abstract PURPOSE:To improve non-offsetting property, durability, etc. by incorporating wax consisting of the chemically bonded matter of wax having a polar group in the molecular structure and paraffin wax into a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image. CONSTITUTION:The wax having the polar group in the molecular structure is chemically bonded with the paraffin wax by a method consisting in grafting, etc. The resultant wax is then dispersed and incorporated together with a coloring agent, charge controlling agent, etc. into the granular material of a binder resin to obtain the intended toner for developing the electrostatic charge image. The wax having the polar group in the molecular structure is exemplified by a fatty acid ester (e.g.; butyl stearate, fatty acid monoglyceride), alkylene bis-fatty acid amide (e.g.; formula I, formula II), higher fatty acid (e.g.; stearic acid), higher alcohol (e.g.; myristyl alcohol), etc.
