| abstract | PURPOSE: The titled composition useful as a binder for magnetic disc, etc., having good processing properties and workability, improved heat resistance, wear resistance, and adhesivity, obtained by blending a cyanic ester resin composition containing diene rubber with magnetic powder. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 30W95pts.wt., preferably 40W85pts.wt. thermosetting resin comprising A 1 : a polyfunctional cyanic ester shown by the formula (m is 2W5; R is aromatic organic group; cyanoto group is linked to aromatic ring of organic group) containing two or more cyanoto groups in the molecule, a prepolymer of the cyanic ester, or a prepolymer of the cyanic ester and an amine and A 2 : diene rubber as essential components is blended with (B) 5W70pts.wt., preferably 15W60pts.wt. magnetic powder (e.g., iron oxide, chromium dioxde, etc.) having 0.007W1μ, preferably 0.01W0.5μ particle diameter.
