titleOfInvention | Additive for epoxy resin |
abstract | PURPOSE: The titled additive which can provide an epoxy resin excellent in elongation, bending strength, modulus of elasticity, etc., obtained by reacting a specified amine, amino acid, or the like with a low-molecular epoxy compound. n CONSTITUTION: The titled additive of formula III is obtained by mixing compounds of formulas I and II [wherein R 1W4 are each H, or a 1W17C (un)saturated aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic, or heterocyclic group, or they may be combined together to form a heterocyclic ring together with the bonded N, and each of these groups may have a substituent such as halogen, nitro, alkoxy, aryloxy, or acetyl] together at a stochiometric ratio of the epoxy groups to the NH groups of 1W10:10W1, and reacting the resulting mixture by agitating at a temperature of room W180°C in the absence or presence of an organic solvent (e.g., toluene). 2W150pts.wt. said additive is mixed with 100pts.wt. combination of an epoxy resin (e.g., polyphenol polyglycidyl ether), a curing agent (e.g., o-phenylenediamine) and/or a curing catalyst (e.g., BF 3 ). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
