titleOfInvention Liquid crystal composition
abstract PURPOSE: A liquid crystal composition which functions as a biological membrane satisfactorily, and is stable, suffering little bleeding of organic compounds in water, comprising a polymer containing ionic groups, and an organic compound containing straight-chain hydrophobic group and ionic groups. n CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal composition comprising a polymer (A) containing ionic groups, and an organic compund (B) containing two or three straight- chain hydrophobic groups or one straight-chain hydrophobic group having a rigid portion in the chain (a), and ionic groups (b). The aforementioned ionic group is defined as the general terms for acidic groups and basic groups: preferably acidic groups such as sulfone, carboxyl, phosphoric, and phenolic hydroxyl groups, and their salts; and basic groups such as amino, substituted amino, and quaternary ammonium groups, and their salts, are used. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
