titleOfInvention | Manufacture of antistatic polyester yarn |
abstract | PURPOSE: To manufacture the titled yarn resistant to the deterioration of mechanical and chemical properties, by carrying out the spinning and drawing of PET containing small amounts of polyoxyalkylene glycol and an ionic antistatic agent, under specific condition. n CONSTITUTION: A polymer of polyethylene terephthalate containing polyoxyalkylene glycol and an ionic antistatic agent is melted completely at 290W310°C, spun at a spinneret temperature of (melting point +5°C) W (melting point +20°C) under a condition to give a spun yarn having a birefringence of ≥0.015, and drawn under a condition to give an elongation at break of 30W45%. The sum of the polyoxyalkylene glycol and the antistatic agent is ≤3wt%. The obtained yarn has sufficient antistaticity and practically satisfactory mechanical and chemical properties. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
