titleOfInvention | Use of novel glutathione oxidase |
abstract | PURPOSE: To enable the accurate quantitative determination of reduced glutathione in a specimen, by oxidizing the reduced glutathione with glutathione oxidase T-1. n CONSTITUTION: The quantitative determination of reduced glutathione in the body fluid such as blood, urine, etc. or in a food can be carried out as follows. The reducing glutathione in the specimen is oxidized with glutathione oxidase T-1 in the presence of oxygen, and the oxygen consumption or the hydrogen peroxide production in the reaction liquid is determined. The glutathione oxidase is an enzyme produced by basidiomycetes such as Calodon suaveolens, Cortinarius bovinus, etc., and is different from conventional glutathione oxidase. Accurate determination can be carried out by removing the existing reduced glutathione with the enzyme in the determination of various components in a specimen by the oxidase-peroxidase-hydrogen donor chromogen reaction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
