PURPOSE:To stably disperse a water-insoluble substance such as org. pigment, a ketene dimer or ionrg. pigment, which has a specific water-soluble polymer compounded therein and contains an effective component at high concn. and has good dispersing stability. CONSTITUTION:1-15mol% of a hydrophobic vinyl monomer having a 10-28C hydrocarbon group such as alkyl acrylate, 10-50mol% of an aromatic vinyl monomer such as styrene or a styrene derivative, 10-50mol% of a cationic vinyl monomer such as beta-acryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium salt and 10- 50mol% of a water-soluble nonionic vinyl monomer such as acrylamide are polymerized in the presence of a radical initiator to obtain a water-soluble polymer which is, in turn, added to an aqueous dispersion containing a water-insoluble substance such as a ketene dimer, org. pigment of inorg. pigment. |
