abstract | PURPOSE: Tetrakis(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl)-4,4-biphenylenediphosphanite is added until the medium stage of the polycondensation to facilitate the production of PEG- copolymerized polyester of good color tone and heat resistance. n CONSTITUTION: In the production of a copolymer from (A) a polyester mainly composed of, preferably more than 85mol% of ethylene terephthalate units and (B) 3W50, preferably 5W35wt% of polyethylene glycol (PEG) of 500W10,000 average molecular weight, (C) 0.01W0.1wt%, preferably 0.02W0.07wt%, based on the copolyester, of tetrakis(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl)-4,4-diphenylenediphosphanite, preferably in combination with 0.05W0.2wt% of pentaerythrityl-tetrakis[3-(3,5-di-t- butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate] is added to the copolyester until the middle stage of the polycondensation. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
