titleOfInvention Hair tonic preparation
abstract PURPOSE:A hair tonic preparation that contains, as an active ingredient, an extract from serenoa, thus having action of reductase inhibition, activating locally male hormone, while systemically causing no side-effects and low skin irritation, resulting in high hair tonic effect. CONSTITUTION:The objective preparation contains, as an active ingredient, a serenoa extract. The serenoa extract is obtained by extracting fruits, preferably ripen fruits, of Serenca repens s. serrulate growing naturally in southern Spain, Mallorca, districts washed by the Mediterranean with a polar organic solvent such as methanol or ethanol or a mixture thereof with water. The content of the extract is 0.005-5wt% on dry basis in the total weight of the preparation. The serenoa extract may be combined with carpronium chloride, vitamin E acetate and pantothenic acid.
