titleOfInvention Novel antibiotic substance al-r2081 and its preparation
abstract PURPOSE: To separate Al-R2081 substance which has been found to be produced by the cultivation of an actinomycetes belonging to Streptomyces genus in a nutrient medium. n CONSTITUTION: The novel antibiotic substance Al-R2081 is yellow acicular crystal having following characteristics. Elemental composition (wt%), C 37.71, H 1.70, Cl 36.39, N 7.05, O 16.60; molecular formula, C 12 H 6 Cl 4 N 2 O 4 ; molecular weight, 382. The ultraviolet absorption spectrum in methanol, the infrared absorption spectrum by KBr tablet method, the hydrogen NMR spectrum in heavy acetone, and the carbon NMR spectrum are shown in the figures. The Rf value of a thin-layer silica gel chromatography is 0.73 for benzene-acetone (10:1) developing solvent and 0.86 for ethyl acetate-acetone (10:1) developing solvent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
