titleOfInvention Manufacture of molded article of flexible vinyl chloride resin resistant to growth of mildew
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a molded article resistant to the surface staining and the growth of mildew, and desirable in view of food sanitation, by carrying out the plasma treatment of the surface of a flexible vinyl chloride resin molded article compounded with an epoxidized natural oil or fat. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.(wt.) of a vinyl chloride resin is compounded with 0.5W 10pts. of an epoxidized natural oil or fat (e.g. epoxidized soybean oil) and other additives, and the mixture is formed to a desired form. The product is made to contact with the plasma of an inert gas free from plasma-polymerizability (e.g. helium, neon, etc.) and an organic compound having plasma-polymerizability (e.g. methane, ethane, etc.) to form a film of the organic compound polymer having a thickness of 0.01W2μ on the surface of the product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
