PURPOSE:An agent for growing hair showing improved effect on occurrence of hair or growth of hair, containing at least one of substance P, a specific substance P-like peptide, and its acid addition salt. CONSTITUTION:An agent for growing hair comprising at least one of substance P having ileum contracting action, blood pressure lowering action, etc. or pharmacological action, a substance P-like piptide shown by the formula [X is peptide or nucleoside consisting of 1-5 of pyroglutamic acid residue (pGlu) or amino acid residue], and its acid addition salt as an active ingredient. The active ingredient is dissolved or dispersed into a proper liquid, solid or semisolid medium, and used, and an amount of the active ingredient added is preferably about 0.005-0.02% (weight/volume). |
