titleOfInvention | Pyrazine derivative |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:A pyrazine derivative shown by the formula I (R 1 is H, or 1W 5C alkyl; R 2 is 1W8C alkyl; group shown by the formula II is trans cyclohexane ring). n EXAMPLE: 2-(trans-4'-n-Pentylcyclohexylcarbonyloxy)-5-(4"-toluyl)pyrazine. n USE: Useful as a constituent component for liquid crystal substance. Since it has a low melting point, a low solidification point, and a high transparent point, it has a wide temperature range of use when it is used as liquid crystal. n PREPARATION: A glyoxal derivative is reacted with glycine amide in the presence of hydrous methanol to give a compound shown by the formula III, which is reacted with a trans cyclohexylcarboxylic acid chloride shown by the formula IVin the presence of a neutralization agent to give a compound shown by the formula I . The compound shown by the formula IV is synthesized by reacting a trans-cyclohexylcarboxylic acid with thionyl chloride. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
