abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a coating compsn. for use in inhibiting the corrosion of metal, which has excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, by blending a specified chelate-reactive resin, etc. with a polyhydroxy ether. n CONSTITUTION: At least one compd. selected from among esters (B-1) of a polyhydric phenolic carboxylic acid contg. neighboring hydroxyl groups and a polyhydric alcohol (the ester of glucose and m-digallic acid), polynuclear polyhydric phenols (B-2) contg. neighboring hydroxyl groups (e.g. a catechol / formaline condensate) and phosphoric acid (esters, salts) (B-3) contg. at leat one P-OH group (e.g. phosphoric acid) is used. 10W70wt% polyhydroxy ether (A) of formula I (wherein R 1 is H, methyl; R 2 is H, methylene, a group of formula II) and 0.5W10wt% component B-1 or B-2 and/or 0.5W10wt% component B-3 are blended together in such a proportion that the combined quantity of components B-1W B-3 is 1W20wt%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
