titleOfInvention Preparation of silver halide photographic emulsion
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance photographic sensitivity and development speed and to improve reciprocity law by adding a water-insoluble spectral sensitizer without using an org. solvent before forming silver halide grains. n CONSTITUTION: A water-insoluble photographic spectral sensitizer is added without using any org. solvent before finishing formation of silver halide grains to execute spectral sensitization treatment. As said dye, cyanine dyes, merocyanine dyes, and any other dyes may be used. They are used as a dispersion dispersed into an aq. medium. by mechanically pulverizing them or using a surfactant. The addition of such an aq. medium dispersion of a water-insoluble sensitizing dye before finishing formation of the silver halide grains permits increase of sensitivity and stability against time lapse, prevention of desorption of the dye and coloring due to the residual dye, improvement with respect to changes, etc., of light absorption characteristics, nd further, increase of development speed, and enhancement of reciprocity law characteristics, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
