titleOfInvention Oxygen enricher
abstract PURPOSE: Oxygen-enriched air suitable for medical purposes is efficiently produced by providing equipment for lowering the temperature of oxygen-enriched air going out of the vacuum pump when the pump reduces the pressure inside the elements of the module to separate the condensed water, then warming and taking it out. n CONSTITUTION: Room air A is sent through cooler 2 into module 4. The air lowered in oxygen content is allowed to cool down vacuum pump 5, then sent through heater 12, pipe 23 and exhausted out of the outlet 6. The element of the module 4 which is composed of selective semipermeable membranes is sucked with fan 3 and the oxygen-enriched air coming through the membrane is sucked into vacuum pump 4 for compression. The compressed air is sent from the outlet 10 through pipe 11 and cooler 2 where it is cooled down to near room temperature and simultaneously allow excessive amounts of moisture to condense into water. Then, they are led to water separater 14 where the condensed water and saturated moisture are separated then introduced into the heater 12. Then, the flow-meter valve 18 is controlld as the flow meter is monitored, to supply oxygen-enriched air for application. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
