titleOfInvention | Production of polyester fiber |
abstract | PURPOSE: Undrawn polyester yarn is treated with a finishing agent of high epoxy content, then drawn and treated with oil to enable the high-efficiency production of the titled fiber of high adhesion with rubber with good operability. n CONSTITUTION: First, a polyester undrawn yarn extruded out of the spinneret is treated with an agent containing more than 70wt% of an epoxy compound such as bisphenol-A diglycidyl ether in a nonaqueous component. The treated undrawn yarn is drawn as it is treated with steam and heat-set with hot rollers. Finally, the yarn is treated with a finishing oil mainly containing a lubricant such as mineral oil, preferably more than 80wt%, to give the objective fiber. The epoxy compound is used in an aqueous dispersion with a dispersant, preferably along with piperazine as an epoxy curing agent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
