PURPOSE:To provide a melanine-suppressing agent containing a specific p-hydroxycinnamamide derivative, having remarkable melanine-suppressing activity, free from irritancy and allergic activity to the skin, and effective to cure or mitigate the pigmentation such as spots. CONSTITUTION:The objective melanine-suppressing agent contains the p-hydroxycinnamamide derivative of formula (R is H, 1-24C alkyl, cycloaklyl, etc.). The compound of formula has remarkable melanine-suppressing effect, and is free from irritancy and allergic activity to the skin. The amount of the compound in the composition is preferably 1-20%, and is applied in the form of cream, lotion, ointment, etc. The pigmentation such as spots, freckles, suntan, etc. can be cured or improved to the sking having normal color by applying the agent to the diseased part. |
