PURPOSE: The titled composition which can show markedly improved high-temperature impact strength even after aging in air or oil, comprising a specified nitrile group-containing highly unsaturated polymer rubber and a phenolic resin. n CONSTITUTION: The titled composition comprising 1W75wt% (A) nitrile group- containing highly unsaturated polymer rubber having a combined nitrile content of 10W60wt% and an iodine value ≤120 (e.g., butadiene/acrylonitrile copolymer rubber) and 99W25wt% (B) phenolic resin (e.g., straight phenolic resin or epoxy- modified phenolic resin). By the use of both of components A and B, this composition can show improved high-temperature impact resistance before and after heat aging in air or oil. By virtue of this characteristic, the composition can exhibit a remarkable effect when used as a friction material for clutch disks, brake shoes, brake linings, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
