abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a recording medium having an excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristic, durability, etc. by providing a magnetic layer formed by incorporating respectively specific lubricating agent and dispersant with an acryl-modified polyurethane resin binder having a branched molecular structure possessing a functional group of a specific number or above with polyester as skeleton. n CONSTITUTION: An acryl-modified polyurethane resin having penta- or more functional branched molecular structure obtd. by bringing polyether triol and diisocyanate and acrylic acid into reaction with polyester obtd. by reaction of diol such as 1,4-butanediol, and dibasic acid such as adipic acid as skeleton is used as a binder and the recinolate expressed by the formula (R is satd. or unsatd. alkyl of ≥10C) is incorporated therein as a lubricating agent and higher aliphat. amine of ≥10C is incorporated therein as a dispersant. The mixture dispersed therein with magnetic powder is formed on a base. The recording medium having excellent adhesiveness to the base, flexibility, wear resistance, etc. and excellent durability without oozing of a large amt. of the lubricating agent in various environments is thus obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
