abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled product that is excellent in strength and appearance by covering a core body of a resin having a pierced hole with reinforcing fibers, placing the core body in a mold, and injecting a resin so that the reinforcing fibers may be readily impregnated with the resin. n CONSTITUTION: For example, a pierced hole 3 is formed approximately in the center of the bottom section of a core body 1 that will constitute a golf club head, a gate 10 of a mold 6 is positioned approximately above the hole 3, and reinforcing fibers such as carbon fiber rovings are wound around the core body 1. On the other hand, a resin powder such as a cresol novolack type epoxy resin or the like that contains a hardening agent and a catalyst is charged into a heating chamber 8 of the mold, and while the resin powder is heated to be melted, it is injected from the gate 10 into a cavity 4 by a plunger 11 to impregnate the carbon fibers with the resin, and after it is hardened under the pressed state, the intended product is removed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
