abstract PURPOSE:To improve the storage characteristic and heavy-load characteristic of a lithium organic cell by using an electrolyte made by solving specific Lewis acid salt in an electrolyte solvent containing a strongly basic organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:In a cell using lithium (alloy) as a negative-electrode active material, Lewis acid salt expressed by a general equation: LiXFn (If X is B, n=4; and if X is P, As, Sb, n=6.) is solved in an electrolyte solvent containing an organic solvent of DN30 or more (e.g., hexamethyl phosphoryl amide) to produce an electrolyte for use. Accordingly, the electrolyte is stable at a normal temperature and a high temperature, and lithium organic cell excellent in the storage characteristic and heavy-load characteristic can be obtained.
