titleOfInvention Gallstone solubilizer
abstract PURPOSE: A gallstone solubilizer capable of dissolving directly gallstone, having extremely low irritation, containing a specific fatty acid or fatty acid glyceride and a purified oil. n CONSTITUTION: A fatty acid (e.g., linoleic acid, linolenic acid, isostearic acid of emery type, etc.) or a fatty acid glyceride (e.g., octanoic acid diglyceride, decanoic acid diglyceride, etc.) liquid at 30°C is blended with a purifed oil (e.g., hop oil, laurel oil, basil oil, lemon oil, etc.) in a volume ratio of the former to the latter of 20W70:80W30, to give a gallstone solubilizer. Addition of ≥0.5wt%, preferably 1.0W3.0wt% nonionic surface active agent (e.g., sorbitan fatty acid ester, etc.) based on the total composition besides both the active ingredients provides improved effect. A dose of the solubilizer is 50W100ml daily at 3W10ml/hr injection rate from a drain for 2W10hr injection time, and injection is carried out for 3W14 days. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
