titleOfInvention Formation of hard magnetic film
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the magnetic film of desired thickness on a substrate in complicated shape by producing an SmCo hard magnetic film on the substrate when required to deposit it, using a solution of propylene carbonate including samarium nitrate and cobalt nitrate specifying the mole ratio of Sm/Co and electrolytically decomposing it. n CONSTITUTION: The solution of a kind or more selected from propylene carbonate, dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethyl formamide, dimethyl acetamide including samarimum nitrate and cabalt nitrate having the mole ratio Sm/Co of 2W15 as the metal component is used as the electrolyte. With the copper plate of which surface is ground used as a cathode, electrolysis is carried out for about 40min at the temperature of 70°C and current density of 2A/cm 2 . Thereby a substrate having composition of Sm 1 Co 5 is deposited on the cathode in the thickness of 7μm. The SmCo hard magnetic film having good magnetic characteristic can be obtained on the substrate of complicated shape in the desired thickness. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
