titleOfInvention Flame-retardant polyolefin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition having improved mechanical strength and processability, by incorporating a polyolefin with specific amounts of a crosslinking assistant, radical generator, boron compound, halogen based flame retardant and Sb 2 O 3 , and kneading the mixture. n CONSTITUTION: A polyolefin composition obtained by incorporating (A) 0.1W 15wt% crosslinking assistant, e.g. trimethylolpropane triacrylate, with (B) 0.001W 5wt% radical generator, e.g. 1,3-bis(tert-butylperoxyisopropyl) benzene, (C) 1W 10wt% boron compound, e.g. NaBF 4 , (D) 5W60wt% halogen-based flame retardant, e.g. decabromodiphenyl oxide, (E) 100W10wt%, based on the component (D), Sb 2 O 3 and (F) the remainder of a polyolefin resin, e.g. polypropylene, and melt kneading the above-mentioned resin.
