titleOfInvention Novel lysine salt crystal and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The equimolar salt crystal of lysine and 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutyric acid. n USE: A feed additive having extremely low hygroscopicity and high agglomeration resistance. n PREPARATION: Lysine is made to react with 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutyric acid in an aqueous solvent, and the product is subjected to concentration, crystallization and separation by conventional method to obtain the objective lysine salt. The lysine may be L-lysine or DL-lysine, and its amount is equimolar or slightly excess to 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutyric acid. The equimolar salt can be prepared also by using 2mol of 2-hydroxy-4-methyl-thiobutyric acid per 1mol of lysine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
