titleOfInvention Polyether compound
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The polyether compound of formula I (R is residue of a compound having l active hydrogen atoms; n 1 , n 2 ...n l are 0 or integer of 1W100, and their sum is 1W100; l is 1W100 representing the functionality of R; A is substituent group of formula II). n USE: Useful as a raw material of various resins. A resin having excellent hardness, strength and weatherability can be synthesized therefrom. Furthermore, the compound has high reactivity because of the presence of terminal double bond and can be utilized in various reactions. For example, addition of a silane compound to the titled compound gives a raw material of a silane coupling agent, or it can be utilized as a modifier of an unsaturated polyester resin taking advantage of the radical polymerization capability of vinyl group. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting a compound having active hydrogen atom with 4-vinylcyclohexene-1-oxide preferably at 0W120°C in the presence of a catalyst. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
