PURPOSE: The titled dispersion, consisting of a dispersing agent consisting of a specific acrylic polymer solubilized in water, a pigment and an aqueous medium, having improved dispersibility and dispersion stability, and capable of giving films having remarkably improved corrosion resistance. n CONSTITUTION: A cationic aqueous pigment dispersion consisting of a pigment, a dispersing agent consisting of an acrylic polymer, solubilized in water and an aqueous medium, and obtained by polymerizing (A) 3W98pts.wt. (i) (meth)acrylic monomer modified with a lactone or oxyacid condensate and/or (ii) (meth)acrylic monomer modified with mono- or polyalkylene glycol (derivative) with (B) 1W97pts.wt. aminoalkyl (meth)acrylate or aminoalkyl (meth)acrylamide and (C) if necessary an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated copolymer other than the components (A) and (B), and neutralizing the resultant polymer with an acid. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
