titleOfInvention Plastic container
abstract PURPOSE: A container having improved barrier to oxygen and carbonic acid gases, being easily laminated to PET, showing improved barrier to gases and improved resistance to ply separation, comprising a specific crystalline polyester as a constituent component of container wall. n CONSTITUTION: A container comprising a crystalline polyester consisting essentially of a repeating unit shown by the formula (R 1 and R 2 are alkylene, bifunctional symmetric or unsymmetric cyclic hydrocarbon or a bifunctional group obtained by combining them, an average ratio of symmetric hydrocarbon per bifunctional cyclic hydrocarbon group based on total amount of R 1 and R 2 is ≥30mol%, and average number of straight-chain methylene unit per symmetric cyclic hydrocarbon is ≤2), having ≥85°C glass transition temperature and ≤370°C melting point, as a constituent material of container wall. Preferably 4, 4'-diphenyldicarboxylic acid, etc. is used as part of a dibasic acid, and p-hydroquinone, p-hydroxymethylphenol, etc. as a glycol component. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
