titleOfInvention | Preparation of diene polymer |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer containing a side chain of unsaturated bond in high ratio without preparing mercaptan compounds as by-products, by polymerizing a conjugated diene monomer by the use of a catalyst consisting of a CO compound, carbon disulfide, etc. in a solutin of a specific polymer in a solvent. n CONSTITUTION: (A) In a solution of a polymer (e.g., polystyryllithium, etc.) containing a lithium active end group in a solvent, in the presence of a catalyst consisting of (B) a cobalt compound (e.g., cobalt octylate, etc.) and (C) carbon disulfide and/or phenylisothiocyanic acid, (D) a conjugated diene monomer (e.g., butadiene, etc.) is polymerized at 0W80°C, to give the desired polymer. Preferably the component C is added to the reaction mixture after the components A and B are reacted. n EFFECT: Having neither smell nor problems such as environmental problems, etc. Requiring no facilities to treat by-products. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
