titleOfInvention 4-substituted-(e)-3-buten-2-ol derivative and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [R is lower acyl, or group shown by the formula II (R 1 and R 2 are H, or lower alkyl; R 3 is lower alkyl; in wavy line R 1 and R 3 form independent group, respectively, or form covalent bond through C of lower alkyl); double bond in side chain is in (E) configuration]. n EXAMPLE: 2-( 1-Methyl-2-oxabutyloxy )-4-( 1-hydroxy- 4-oxo-2,6,6-trimethyl-2-cyclohexenyl)-(E)-3-butene. n USE: Useful an intermediate for synthesizing blumenol A valuable as perfume. Use of reagent dangerous in handling is not required, post-treatment for taking out a reaction product is easy, and reaction yield is high. n PREPARATION: The double bond in side chain of a 4-substituted-(Z)-3-buten-2-ol derivarive shown by the formula III [double bond in side chain is in (Z) configuration] is subjected to cis→trans isomerization by an optical reaction, to give a compound shown by the formula I . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
