abstract PURPOSE: A thermoplastic polyester harmless to human body and excellent in adhesiveness, heat stability and stretchability, comprising four kinds of structural units at a specified molar ratio. n CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic polyester having structural units of formulas I W IV(wherein R 1 is a bivalent group derived by removing carboxyl groups from at least one dicarboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of terephthalic, isophthalic, orthophthalic, and a 4W10C linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, R 2 is a monovalent group derived by removing a carboxyl group from at least one monocarboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of 6W30C aliphatic or alicyclic and 7W20C aromatic monocarboxylic acids, D is a bivalent group derived by removing hydroxyl groups form at least one diol selected from 2W10C aliphatic and 6W8C alicyclic diols, and m, n, p 1W3 and q are each 0 or 1) and having an intrinsic viscosity ≥0.5dl/g, wherein said components I WIV are present in amounts to provide molar ratios, I :II=1:1, I :III=1,000:1W50, and III: IV=4:1W40. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
