titleOfInvention Ion selective electrode
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a flow-cell type ion analyzer which is small-sized and easily manufactured by constructing the device of an annular ion selective electrode whose reference electrode is burried in the ion selective film agent and a circulating tube for liquid to be inspected which has a bore being communicated with an annular bore of an annular comparison electrode. CONSTITUTION:An ion selective electrode device has a reference electrode, which reference electrode being of a fibrous substance made of Pt, Au, Ag or the like or of a plate-like-substance made of the same materials is laminated with a metallic compound 31, for example, an AgCl film. Further, an edge portion of the reference electrode is annularly formed like a circular shape or others shown in the Figure. Thereafter, an ion selective substance, for instance, Valinomycin for selecting K<+> or a fourth grade ammonium salt for selecting Cl<->, is contained in the high polymeric organic substance serving as a binding agent and the circumference of the annular portion is coated with the thus mixed agent, thereby to form an annular ion selective film 32. Respective annular ion selective electrodes 41, 42, 43, for example, for selecting Na<+>, K<+>, Cl<-> and an annular comparison electrode 44 are housed in a housing 46 through spacers 45, 45'- 45'''. It is made possible to easily obtain a compact ion analyzer wherein a bore 48 acting as a flow path for liquid to be inspected and a multi-provision ion selective electrode are provided.
