| abstract | PURPOSE: The titled composition which can retain the mechanical strength of a styrene resin and has excellent food and oil resistances and environmental stress cracking resistance, prepared by mixing a styrene resin with a specified copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: A styrene resin composition comprising 55W99wt% (A) styrene resin and 45W1wt% (B) polyolefin/polystyrene graft copolymer (e.g., one prepared by activating a styrene resin with an ozone-containing gas and melt-blending the activated styrene resin with a polyolefin resin). By adding copolymer B, the resin can be given excellent food and oil resistances without detriment to the mechanical properties of a styrene resin and can be suitably used as an interior material for domestic electrical appliances, for example, an inside lining of an electric refrigerator, such as an inner box or a door-back, or in the fields of such as an inner box or a door-back, or in the fields of juicers, mixers, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
